What do I need to do to make sure my child is registered for school?

We are excitedly preparing for the 2017-2018 school year!  Your summer registration process will be much smoother if you take a few minutes to make sure all of the items below have completed before registration day.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the main office at 439-2000.

Enrolling in Hoover City Schools involves a few steps. For frequently asked questions (FAQs), please visit this link.

Berry has reserved Wednesdays all summer as our new student summer registration days (students who are new enrollees from another school district). This will provide us with an opportunity to get to know our new families, provide uninterrupted time for paperwork and registration items, and ensure that all of the family's questions are thoroughly answered. Please call the main office at 439-2000 for an appointment time. However, you may pick up the registration packet at any time to begin filling out the necessary forms.  These completed forms will be necessary during your appointment time.  Welcome to Berry Middle School!

UPDATE FOR NEW STUDENTS:  New students enrolling AFTER Monday, 7/24 will not have a schedule processed and ready for Thursday's registration day.  These schedules will be ready to distribute on Tuesday, August 1 from 1 pm - 4 - pm.

Please keep in mind the following requirements when enrolling a student:

Proof of residency (either a lease or recorded deed)
Current utility bill (water, power or gas)
Birth certificate
Social Security card (voluntary)
Alabama immunization form (blue card)
Custody documents, if applicable
Latest report card from previous school

  • All students returning to Berry (or coming from a feeder Elementary school) must complete the Online Registration process.
  • Onsite Summer Registration Day is July 27, 2017 from 10 am - 6 pm. Parents and students may attend at any time during that time period.
  • Please be sure you have completed the Online Registration process before 7/13. Not doing so will delay your registration process on 7/27.
  • Please be certain that all lease / deed / immunization information is updated before this time. Lapses in lease dates or immunization requirements will delay your child's ability to register on July 27th.
  • will be open to receive payments (credit / debit) on July 20. In order to expediate your registration day, you may want to print a copy of this receipt to bring with you on July 27th.
  • Click here to view the Berry Middle School Fee Sheet with descriptions.
  • Fees can also be paid in cash or check during Onsite Registration Day on July 27th.
  • On July 27th, each eligible child (paperwork complete, online registration complete, fees paid) will receive their team assignment, teacher names, daily schedule, locker assignment, assignment book (agenda), and bus information.

Information about Snapcodes:

  • If you have received your student's snap code by mail, please follow this link to enter that snap code and begin your online registration process. Technical or sign-in questions related to the web site should be directed to Infosnap at 866-752-6850 or .
  • If you have not received your student's snap code by mail, you will need to contact your student's school. We are aware of four possible reasons why a person may not have yet received a snap code:

1. The parent's e-mail account may have blocked the school's e-mail since it was an automatically generated message, so check the Spam or Junk folder.

2. An e-mail address may not have been given to the school.

3. A lease on file at the school may be expiring before the school start date, and a new lease and utility bill needs to brought to the school to update the student's records.

4. An immunization card may be expiring before the school start date, and a new immunization card needs to be brought to the school to update the student's records.

Students may come at the following times between Registration Day and the first day of school to put supplies in lockers and walk their schedule (or, students who were not able to attend the July 27 registration day):

  Tuesday, August 1, 1:00 - 4:00

 Thursday, August 3, 1:00 - 4:00

Due to professional development and faculty meetings, the school will be closed to students outside of these designated times.  Thank you for your cooperation with this - we are very busy preparing for you!
